International Poetry for Peace Poetry competition

Since the late 1970’s, Prof. G. Stendig-Lindberg was active in promoting Poetry Peace prizes, to honor the memory of her daughter Miriam Felicia Lindberg. An International Poetry for Peace Poetry competition is held annually where a committee of judges evaluate poems submitted by poets from throughout the world and award a prize for distinguished poetic achievement for poems that inspire sustainable peace.

Goals

The Lindberg Peace Foundations supports Artists, Writers, Poets and Peace Workers. We encourage creative and innovative peace efforts that can be put into practice in the Middle East and duplicated in other areas of conflict. While each conflict on the planet has a unique regional, historical and cultural context, the foundation believes that the characteristics of sustainable solutions can be very similar. We focus on long-term cooperation with individuals who invest their time and effort into developing a firm coalition of spirit and soul that can transform boundaries of hatred and violence and seemingly irreconcilable competing interests.
